I would like a battery powered gravel vac...I have one a friend gave me which I can use on my small tank...it takes two batteries & has a little bag on the side to collect stuff.

The problem is the water in my big tank is 24 - 26 inches.

Any anyone suggest a make/model for me or where I can get one?

Thank you :-)

Maybe you can attach a plastic pipe & double the lenght of the gravel vac. I have one & i only use it with the shallow tanks, but i was thinking to make it longer & this was my only idea.

I also thought this but wondered if there was a relationship been the length & suckability...I think a bigger motor/more such would be needed to be as effective...?

We're thinking the same thing. I was about to try it, but then i've gone back to the normal vac & never implimented the idea. I only use it with the shallow tanks. If you try it let me know how it goes, but i also think that a longer pipe = more powerful motor.
