i was thinking of hanging two large light fixtures over my plant tank so my swords will grow out. but i know tons of fluorescent bulbs for plants but what about any incandescent bulbs?

Incandescent doesn't offer the right kelvin for growing plants, additionally the wattage that you see as wpg is refering to flourescent watts not incandecent watts.

The only way you'll be able to use an incandescent fixture is if you use the screw in flourescents.

Common enough to get at most homedepots, Lowes, grocery store, target, wlmrt... look for Daylight not warm white bulbs.

Most of the bulbs I've seen are 20w or less. The more watts the better.
If you can find bulbs with a 6500 or 6700 Kelvin those will be the best for plants, 5000K is the lowest I'd suggest for plants.
