i was thinking about useing mypenguin mini on my 2.5 rosie minnow tank. i still think that the sucksion will be to strong and it will suck up the rosies. plus the intake has a hole on the bottom. i was thinking of adding cotton to the intake so make if safer. will this work.

You can try the cotton, but what I would do first is see if there is a valve control...I know mine did, it was on the bottoom and it really made a total difference...Also to cover the hole I have been told to use a nylon...if you don't feel like tearing up a pair, or buying a pair just for the tank, go by a shoe store or place that sells shoes and ask them for one of the sock thingies that people use to try on shoes that don't have socks with them. They seem to be made out of cut up pantyhose sewn on one end and lose on the other...just place it over the intake hole, and rubber band it on tight (those rubber bands that come from the lfs, are small and would work wonderful) Hope this helps...hml
