The reflector is a bit better, they installed fans, increased the bulb watts(such as using 65w in place of 55w) I think partially because with the fans the light heats up less so can handle the higher watts, and they attempted to add legs. However the mounting legs I consider a complete failure. They aren't the sturdiest ever and when I put the legs on the only possible way I saw how(no picture or instructions) they stuck out 4" or so from the light. That meant the 47" light that fit exactly on my 4' tank is now several inches too long to attach to the sides. 2nd problem is the fans which are extremely noisy. I'm wondering if they aren't attached well and are vibrating against something. Overall Jebo's 2nd light attempt is ok quality and will do it's job but your money is still well spent on more expensive better known lights. I forgot they also added blue leds but so far the leds are too dim to see more than a small area directly under each light. I was hoping to get to watch my plecos more at night but it didn't give me a good view of anything so I haven't used them. Last edited by sham at 24-Aug-2005 23:36 |
