SheKoi![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 667 Kudos: 553 Votes: 4 Registered: 11-Feb-2004 ![]() ![]() | i've just got a fluval 304 external filter for my large tank. just a few problems 1) the filter makes alot of noise, is there something wrong? is sounds like something vibrating. 2) the inlet and outlet parts in the tank are joined together and because of the glass supports around the top of the tank the pipes have to go on an angle so that the hood doesn't fit, and the outlet is above the water line so makes even more noise. is they any parts i could buy that solve these problems? i could cut the hood, but would perfer not to. cheers shekoi www.blooming-brilliant.co.uk |

SheKoi![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 667 Kudos: 553 Votes: 4 Registered: 11-Feb-2004 ![]() ![]() | i've looked at the filter closer today, it looks like the impeller is either loose and hitting the cover or just vibrating to much. it also doesn't seem to start up again once turn on, have to knock it to kick start it, as if the impeller is stuck on the cover. has anybody experienced this? what do i did to do? the noise is very annoying, the tank is in the hallway so the whole house can now hear the filter. as i was lookinmg at it i broke the blue handles on the side that hold the lid on, once i switched it on the force of the water pushed the lid off, can this be fixed? www.blooming-brilliant.co.uk |
