I know some of you are aware of a product called Python No Spill. I have it and use it regularly for water changes and it's great - apart from one thing. Yes, it's the waste it generates.

I feel bad about this so I thought why not get a pump of some sort and use it to suck up water? The only thing is I don't know where to look. Does anyone know of a pump that would do this? I can still use the python for refilling water though so it's more about sucking up the water from the tank really. Any ideas?

A good size pond pump or powerhead fitted with the correct fittings should do you If you're on the second floor or have a nice downgrade, you could always start the siphon action and then stuff the open end out of a window or door downhill.

Use it to water plants!! Like Tim said, drop it out a window and water away...if possible.

I use a pump that fits to my cordless drill it will pump 1000ltr an hour and cost £7 on ebay. There are more powerful drill pumps available as well, just make sure your electric drill can turn at 2000rpm and they work fine.

Gibson SG you know you want one!!
