Rummynoses...what to do? | |
keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | If the Rummynoses are small which is a good chance they could be add them to the 5g tank it will be a bit tight and be prepared to do several weekly water changes. The RNs will be a bit stressed out and if they were added to the 55g I would take a good guess they could also get the Ich. The only other choice would be to get another 10g and transfer the Betta and the RNs to that until the ich is completly gone. Have a look in [link=My Profile]http:// www.fishprofiles.com/interactive/forums/profile.asp?userid=6741" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link] for my tank info [link=Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tanks]http://photobucket.com/albums/b209/keithgh/Betta%20desktop%20tank/" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link] Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I could ask the man to hold them, but he has been very clear that I need to pick them up the day they come in. He said he doesn't get them often and I think he only ordered the ones for me. I only ordered 5 and asked if that would be a problem (because I already have 4) and he said no, that he could probably order only 5. So, that is what makes me believe that he only ordered mine. I am getting some more effective meds hopefully next week, so maybe it will be ok to add them. I know it is not the best thing to do, but if he can't hold them then its the only thing I can do. Last time I had ich it was gone within a week. Hopefully this time it will be gone soon. |

If you explain their problem and ask them very nicely, they may hold the fish for you for at least a day. It helps if you've already paid for them. If you have not already bought the tetras, then technically you don't have to get them and can hold off on the purchase until the ich goes away. That is, as long as you're willing to take the chance that people may buy them. Do you know how many will be in the shipment? If it's much more than what you planned to buy, it may be safe to just wait before getting the tetras. I honestly think it would be best to not buy them until you can put them in the fifty-five gallon tank. |
