Arched Backbone | |
katana Enthusiast Posts: 153 Kudos: 13 Votes: 0 Registered: 18-Jun-2001 | I have a 15 gallon tank stocked with various tetras & danios. 12 in total. I tried searching for arched backbone in the diseases section but nothing comes up. Have tried googling with no luck. Temp: 78 PH: 7.2 Ammonia: 0 Nitrite:0 Nitrates: unknown I have one danio and one rummynose tetra that have arched backs. This has happened over about the last two weeks or a month as I had been away for 2 weeks prior to first noticing. All other fish are fine. Incidentally these happen to be the 2 smallest fish in the tank. They are not eating, and yet are swimming fine. The danio's tail is almost gone, but all other fins on both are fine. I have not added any new fish to this tank in about 2 years, and have not had anything wrong or die in about 4 years. I should mention the while I was away on holidays the airpump had stopped working and my friend was unsure how long it had been out before I came home. I am wondering if that had something to do with it. Anyone have any ideas what causes this?? |

I remember reading about this it was concerning the vitamins and the minerals in their diet. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
