Tankmates are black neons and kuhli loaches. This is a 10 gallon tank, temp = 78, ammonia = 0, nitrite = 0, nitrate = 20-40, pH = 8.2. I know those nitrates probably mean I'm due for a water change but it doesn't seem like anything incredibly dangerous. One of the black neons does have his tail missing but that was before I moved them to my betta's tank. I haven't observed any behavior out of the ordinary and the betta still comes to the front of the tank when I walk up to it and eats normally. Is it possible he dug into the gravel or is this some sort of infection? I think all I have on hand is maracyn, maracide and some coppersafe but none of those seem like they'd work here. EDIT: I went to take some pictures and my camera's batteries are dead so I'll try to get some up later. |

How often and what percentage do you change. In my betta tank I do a weekly water change of about 45%+. Is it possible he could have hurt his head on any thing? Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. This is a 10 gallon tank with a filter on it so I don't really need the big water change like that I don't think. |
