I found my betta girl this morning with a red pectoral fin. Her other one looks fine, but the other looks bloody. I'm not sure if it is infected with something, or maybe she injured herself.

Is there a disease or could it be a common injury.

Tank was cleaned out, so all parameters are 0 PH: 7.2

Thanks!!

Now the other one is red, and she isn't swimming with the other one that got infected first and it is now clamped against her body. She is having a hard time swimming...

Anybody help?

To start off with what could/did cause the damage?

I would suggest you try Melafix and Pimafix.

She has been recovering from Dropsy. Maracyn-2 brought her back from the brink of death. I still am treating her with maracyn-2 to kill any left-over bacteria that may still be in her system. and her right eye is still a tiny-bit cloudy. So, i hope that it may be a good enough anti-biotic for her, if this is a infection of some sort. And I threw a little Pima-fix in as well.

As to what she could have injured herself on, I don't have a clue. All the plants in her tank are silk, and the one "sunken ship bell" ornament she has does have a "smaller than her" hole in it, but I plugged it up.

In the picture below is what is currently in her tank.

This poor little girl has had it all since I got her..Ich, Cloudy eye, Dropsy, and now injured fins...poor thing.

It's not poor water conditions either, I gravel vac/water change every 3-4 days.

I came home today from work, and one whole pectoral fin is gone.

She isn't looking good...

Sounds like Septecima to me. Did I spell that right? Anyways, one of my Bettas got it and from the research I did on it, the prognosis usually isn't good. I'm trying to find the link now for all the info, as soon as I find it i'll post it.
