The other day I noticed that one of my sharks fins were bleeding. I thought it could be fin rot so I treated the tank with Maracyn-TC. Treatment ended three days ago and he is no better and now almost all of his fins are bleeding. he even has some bleeding on his side!

What could this be? He has tank mates also, and all of them are fine!

It would help if you could tell us more about the shark species and age, also as much as you can about the tank filtration etc and all the tanks water parameters. If you can not do a full water test take a good sample to your LFS

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Assuming the water quality checks out, try a different form of antibiotic treatment, you might find furan more effective than any of the tetracycline based meds, there is as yet, not quite so much disease resistance to it.

Sometimes ammonia damage manifests itself as raised veins , so its worth getting a definitive reading on that.
