	Bump?
Phoenix Small Fry Posts: 10 Kudos: 7 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Apr-2004	My betta has a pea-size bump on his left side, just behind his fin. The scales are a bit lighter in that area. I've never seen that before, and there is no evidence of ich (white spots, open areas) on him either. He is an active fish, no noted loss of appetite.. Any ideas of what this could be?? I have had him for two years now, he's in a one gallon tank by himself.

longhairedgit Fish Guru Lord of the Beasts Posts: 2502 Kudos: 1778 Votes: 29 Registered: 21-Aug-2005	Rarely do parasitic cysts get that large on such a small species of fish, my best guess would be a tumour.Not all tumours spread relentlessly though , it isnt necesserily the end for your fish , try and post a pic to give us a better look .
