I have had this Cardinal for about one month now and I noticed this marking yesterday. It is practically impossible to photograph as they move so fast and arte3 on the move all the time.

The actual marking is on one side only right hand looking from the front it is about 1-2mm in diameter

I went to the LFS today Wed and spoke to the manager who also bought 20. It was a special order she got in therefore not sold to any one else. All hers are perfect except one which is a whitish colour but is healthy as all the others.

She also thinks it could be an extremal injury or a bruising as it is only on one side. She said she has seen it on some fish but it is rare.
If any thing I would say the mark is getting smaller and lighter in colour.
