For the other I am not sure try and phone the tetra help line the number is Urgent Consumers Needs -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All consumers with urgent needs please contact TetraCare Team at 1-800-423-6458 Wish I could help more. Please let me no how it turns out edith |

Hopefully something from their recommendations is available to you. http://aquanic.org/publicat/usda_rac/efs/srac/479bfs.pdf#search=%22Columnaris%22 (be paitent, it can take a while to load) Good luck! Look for a product with an active ingredient of Tetracycline, furan2, spectrogram or Kenacyn in it. I cant help with a brand because I dont know what is available to you in your location. I know in Australia it is very difficult to get antibiotics. Hopefully it is easy for you. Alternate treatment is with copper sulfate malachite green, again look at the active ingredient list of the product. From what I have read salt will aid the healing process. Make sure any carbon is removed from filtration while treating. I hope you find something soon, columnaris is nasty and will get out of control quickly if not treated soon enough.
