I had my 4 corys for 4 months. It used to be fun to watch them in my 30G. But in the past few weeks, they've been listless. They spent most of the time lying at the back corners of the tank motionlessly. When they're in the front, they would dash off to the back when I'm approaching. They would eat a little in feeding time - but no longer hugging the gravel to search for food scrap as they used to be.

One of them is in a more serious condition. This one spends a lot of time in the mid level of the water column, either stationary or slowly paddling along with stiffness in his motion. The base of his fins appears to be a bit reddish.

All other tank mates (1 keyhole, 2 mollys, 3 cherry barbs and a few 0.5 inches long molly babies) are doing pretty well.

Water parameters:
No Ammonia, No Nitrite, No Nitrate.
PH 7.6 - 7.8
Temp 78F
Salt 5ml per 10G 1 week ago; now reduced to 1.5 ml per 10G (as a result of water changes)

What's wrong with my corys?

My first and only big question why the "Salt"? How long have you been using the salt and what amounts as it does not evaporate it can build up very quickly.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

The salt was initially there for the mollys - before I had the corys. Salt intolerance also came to my mind. So I had done 3 x one-third water changes during last week. The salt level should be very low now. I also added an airstone last night. But not much improvement seen so far.

I'll continue the water changes in coming days and move the mollys away.
