It would be impossible even to give you any good advice on that small amountb of information. A full water peramiters test is a must. If you can not do that take a good water sample to your LFS for a full test, then get back with the results.

Also post more about the tank, size, other fish, water changes percentages and how often, and any thing else that you think could help.

What you can do is assess the entire situation in the tank, find out the water chemistry and tell us the result, tell us the diet, tell us how long youve had the fish, its cagemates, what equipment you have ..etc..etc. Need more info dude. Thats like you saying "my arm fell off where did I leave it."

You have to give us something to go on, and preferably before it dies. Tell us everything and take nothing for granted, its nearly always in the details.

At least mention whats odd about the swimming... was he using flippers and an aqualung or what?
