ok... my white clouds are acting like there's no air in the tank. no idea why. i have a 55 gallon tank with a magnum 350 canister filter. i tried turning the output spout a few different angles to get better water circulation, and it didn't help much. then I added a long airstone. still the same problem... any ideas?

What are your water prams? It may have to do with something else.

I think Needeles meant *parameters*.

If you have (or had) high nitrite levels, the fish can have enough oxygen in the water but not be able to utilise it.

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett

When you say close to water change times. How often do you change the water and what percentage. It is advisable to do a minium of 30% weekly. Depending on your filter will depend how often you clean it. When did and how did you clean the filter.

Do you have an airstone in the tank?? if not it is advisable to get one this will airate and circulate the water.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Glad that everything's fine Joe. I agree with Callatya and the rest, in that even if the oxygen levels are enough, the high levels of nitrite can nullify that. Keep up with your partial water changes and they should be fine.
