I have a dojo loach that jumped out of my tank last Thursday (was out for approx. 4 hours) she is alive and I have added some aquarium salt to help her heal. Is there anything else that I can do to help her?? Her fins dried out quite a bit so they are very ragged also her body seems patchy now (it may just be her body healing though). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!

wow!!
well, if this happened last week and she is still ok for the most part, I would keep a close watch out for secondary bacterial and fungal infections especially with the fins and blotchy areas, which is probably the damaged scales and slime coat, perhaps a dose of pimafix and melafix would be a start of preventative measures, I'm not sure about the salt, it may be ok, keep water perams in order as to not induce any more shock or stress as it may weaken your fishes immunity ststem.
hope everything works out for the best and a full recovery !!

I also would steer away from salt as this could cause the dryness to dry out more.

I also would keep using the medications for several weeks.
or until the problems settle down.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

try adding some slime and stress coat additves to help those to rebuild to natural and normal levels.

other than that good luck with the loach! its a great thing you found it!
