Green Puffer Fish? | |
brandy_mosley Small Fry Posts: 1 Kudos: 1 Votes: 0 Registered: 20-Jun-2007 | I have or should I say had two green puffer fish. One died today and I don't know why. The other one is acting sick and is sitting on the bottom of the tank. The one that died was eating really well until yesterday. Does anyone have any information on these little fish. I loved them and I don't know what went wrong. |

When something like this happens you need to furnish specifics: pH, GH, KH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, tank capacity, filtration, temperature, to name just some of the specifics. How old were the fish, how long had you had them, what water conditioning chemicals did you use, any salt & how much/gallon. Here is an interesting article on puffers, one of dozens available on the internet: http://www.aquarticles.com/articles/breeding/McKane_Dwarf_Puffers.html By the way, AQUARIUM FISH INTERNATIONAL, June 2007 issue, Page 60, has an excellent article on freshwater puffers written by Oliver Lucanus.
