	Guppy fin rot
RAST Big Fish Posts: 437 Kudos: 162 Votes: 236 Registered: 07-Feb-2002	OK so like did have about 7 female guppies. They are all slowly dropping off (dying) from fin rot. I have treated the water with the correct medication but it still seems to be hanging on to them. What can I do?? I have treated the water twice as it is still about??

Salt and melafix/primafix is good along with most meds as well. My feeling is if you weren't using erythromycin it may not be the "correct" meds. There has been a lot of "guppy disease" going around this area too that first appears as fin rot but actually ends up being like culminaris (yes bad spelling, sorry). What kind of guppies were they?

What are your water peramiters in the tank and at the water supply. I strongly suggest you get them both tested by your local Aquarium. Also dont buy any more for a long time and possibly another Aquarium and only after they have had them for at least one week. I haven't any other test kits so not sure about anything else. I am not sure on treating the tank again as I have seen a few babies in there now. So I am not holding my breathe that they survive so will leave as I think they are all OK at the moment but not well thats all. Thanks for the help people. Oh and they are just guppies nothing flash or fancy.
