i had a problem with unexplained deaths and was advised what meds to use, i got the med an have only lost 2 more tetras since then but now i have a new problem. i did a test and my ph.6.4, kh.0, gh.6, no2.0, no3.10, im doing a 50% wc now is there any thing else i can do? also my clown loach has just died it was swimming upside down on the surface and it had what looked like blood streaks in its tail and patches (blood?)around its mouth it also had a very ounced dark line all the way across its middle. i cant show any pics cus i cant figure out how to do it. does anyone have any ideas please? You can always use ph adjusters, baking soda, calcium carbonate sources, blackwater extracts etc to get the ph anywhere you want it, but I sincerely doubt if a major internal bacterium attack is over by now, these things usually run for, and need to be treated for at least a week, maybe two.

When did you last do a full deep gravel vac or is it the substrate you are using or is it just dirty.

I use PH adjuster at every water change. I also would add a good dose of bacteria to the tank do this at every water change this will help to keep a good bacteria in its origional state, I always use Sera Nitrivec.

Be carefull with any meds for CLs as some meds must be used at half strength.
I would also have a try at Primafix and Melafix these can be use together (read instructions first for correct dosage)
