The are red worms living in the anal vents of my rainbows and probably other fish. My fish are skinney and stomach's are flattening.Please reccomend a med for me. If you need more info, just ask. Thanks

sounds similiar to something i had not long ago.. unfortunately none of my affected fish survived...chances are its camallanus which is a parasite that attaches itself to the fishes insides however the fact that you said is was red could lead to another option...

they dont seem to be camallanus, maybe they are that other red worm mentioned. Need to go to the LFs to pick up meds, still not sure which are the best to buy. I figgure my fish have been living with these worms for several months

Not the best to talk about but here goes.
If cats & dogs have worms their bellies swell yet other worms stay inside and you can guess the rest.

If possible take the afected fish to your LFS or contact www.aquariumpharm.com Pimafix/Melafix.

Also try cooked peas and any roughage food it just might move them.

Sounds like camellanus again. Those damn things gimme the heeby jeebies and theyre damn hard to get rid of. I think the posted thread above says everything about them, good luck. Youre gonna need it.
