Dead stock: 1 Pleco, 2 Pictus Unhealthy stock (Symptamatic): 5 Bosemani, 11 Neon Tetra's Healthy Stock (No Symptoms): Blue Gourami, Dwarf Gourami, 4 Leopard Danio's, Albino and Delphax Cory's Water Parameters: All read normal across the board with 0 Ammonia. Water Temp 27 C or 80F Tank is 55 gallon Meds used are ICK Clear, Melafix, and now as recommended by staff at Big Als is cupramine. Why are some fish affected and others seem just fine? The staff at big als were talking about some new "super ick" has anyone heard of this? I guess, my question is, what else can I do? Thanks to all in advance, being new to the hobby, I am finding this site an invaluable resource. Look in the directions Cupramine™ is superior to copper sulfate, chloride & citrate: it is non-acidic, less toxic to fish, remains in solution, and does not contaminate the filter bed. It is superior to chelates: it is fully charged (ionic), and active at low concentrations, and is removable with carbon. Sizes: 50 mL, 100 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 2 L, 4 L, 20 L Types of Infections Treated Parasitic Fungal Bacterial Viral Cupramine DIRECTIONS: Remove all invertebrates. Turn off UV sterilizer; remove chemical filtration. Use 1 mL (top mark of enclosed dispenser) per 40 L (10.5 gallons*) the first day, wait 48 hours, then repeat for a total dose of 0.5 mg/L (in freshwater, use half dose). Leave at this concentration for 14 days. Do not redose without testing (MultiTest: Copper™). Do not use in conjunction with any other medication. If tank has ever been treated with an ionic copper (e.g. copper chloride, sulfate or citrate), test copper level after initial dosing. Although most fish tolerate Cupramine™ to 0.8 mg/L, it is not advisable to exceed 0.6 mg/L copper. Remove with carbon or CupriSorb™.
