Is there an illness that affects everything but loaches because i have lost all my fish except my loaches and they look to be doing well.

I have tested my water at home and at a store and all seemed fine.

I decided after all my fish except the loaches died to leave the tank for a month and then add new fish.

I added a new fish yesterday and he is looking sick has a small whitish spot on his side.

Now i know that sounds like white spot but if it is why do my loaches not have it and why did it rip through my other fish like crazy.

I have read here on FP that some times very healthy fish can survive at outbreak of Ich. I have no personal record of this but that does not say it could not happen.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

What kind of loaches do you have?
I'm wondering because most don't have scales, which actually makes them more vulnerable.

i have clown loaches and a few BN catfish which are unaffected by what ever is killing all my fish.

i dont think its white spot any more it looks like white spot but the dots are more like white string hanging from the fish only around 2 - 5 mm long

Did the other fish that died have white spots? I've heard that Camellanus doesn't seem to affect loaches or catfish, but if the symptoms don't match, then it's not likely to be your killer.
