I've been told they are both safe to use together. Just dose them as acording to the directions on the bottles =)

I even used melafix alongside my ich medications ^-^

But you may want a more experienced persons opinion just in case ^^

they are of a different group to almost all other medications and generally speaking you can have them in the tank at the same time (although in most situations it wouldn't be warranted)

You can safely dose both Melafix and Pimafix at once without adjusting the dose of either to compensate.

For prevention though, dosing both is probably overkill. I'd just go with the one and make sure your water quality is high

I have just had a small problem in the Betta tank and I am using both at the moment mainly as a precaution not knowing actually what the actual problem is. As Callatya it could be an over kill but I would do that than go for less medication. It is purely my thoughts on using meds.
Those are the only meds I use when I think I can see a problem. I try to work on "prevention is better that the cure." Both of these meds have a use by date so check when buying them also check the price I have seen a massive difference at some LFS ALSO check the use by date I have also seen out dated on the shelf. I pointed this out and my reply was it is OK to use.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
