Hi everyone!

I'm having a problem with a few of my fish and could do with some advice.......I have a 30 gallon freshwater tank with 5 mollies (3 females and one male).

I also have a bunch of babies in a breeder-tank - around 20, a mixture of black and dalmation, about a month old.

The adults are giving me cause for concern tho - something is going on and i aint got a clue wot.....perhaps a swimbladder problem, but they are all swimming around with their back ends hanging down....has anyone experienced this before and can possibly advise me? I would be most grateful!!

The tank also contains a rtbs, one female guppy and two neons. They are all fine, as are the mollie fry.

Thank you, and happy fishkeeping to you all!!

Bettina

Hi,
WELCOME TO FISH PROFILES!!

I, personally, would like to know more about the tank.
What is the temperature, the pH, the GH, the ammonia,
nitrite and nitrate readings, and do you have any salt
in the water, if so, how much?

Running the temperature around 76, with some salt in the
water is generally the best medicine.

Read this article:
http://fins.actwin.com/mirror/fish-popular.html

Specifically, cursor down to the "Live bearers" section and
the part about mollies. In it you will read how to care
for them, and the amount of salt that is needed in the
water.
Use aquarium salt, not table salt.

Hope this helps...

Frank
