My Rhino Pleco got his butt beat! | |
steven1982 Hobbyist Posts: 104 Kudos: 74 Votes: 38 Registered: 13-Jan-2008 | I have Rhino Pleco and one of the other fish with him took a part of his dorsal fin, and half of one of the spines. I know that a dorsal fin can repair cuts in it, but will the missing part grow back in at all? |

I hope you have removed it to a place where it can rest and repair its self. I would be treating it with both Pimafix and Melafix to relieve the stress and stop any secondary infections. For a while i would reduce the food intake and very little light this should help. Reducing the feeding could help in any water pollution if he does not feel like eating very much.
