I recently bought 5 Zebra Danios from PetsMart, along with a male Speckled Molly and two Platys. The Molly died, and he looked bent over. I have a photo of him somewheres... Then, a Zebra Died. She had stoped eating, looked very thin, and was laying on the floor, struggling to get up. I'll post the water temp, etc in a moment.

Tank Size: 10 gallon
Stock List (Quantity/Species): 1 Violet Goby, 2 Platies, 3 Mollies, (one baby) 4 Zebra Danios.
Fish size for larger fish: Shasta (Violet Goby) is around 5-7 inches.
Filtration: I'm not sure, I'll check later, as my little brother is in there sleeping.

Additives: Well, I use Doc. Wellfish's salt for the tank, and Aquasafe. That's about it.

The Zebras Swim wierd, like they have to work really hard to swim in a straight line, their tails look droopy, their eyes look slightly glazed, and they get thin, and lay on the floor, trying to get up, but they can't.

i think the problem with your tank might be nitrates, you've slightly over stocked the tank.... try to think one inch of fish for every gallon.. with 10 gallons, you don't have a whole lot to work with...

how much salt did you use in the water?
and whens the last time you did a water change?

okay, im just trying to get this straight.. the tank had a goby, and two mollies to begin with, and then you added 5 danios, two platies, and a molly?

that right there is enough fish to throw that fishtank into a bio-overload.. if i were you i'd do a quick water change, keep the lights off to prevent stress in the tank, and invest in a bigger tank, or take most of those fish back.

I think over stocking could easly be the problem. You will either have to make up your mind exactly what you want to do either get a much larger tank or return several of those fish. If not all your fish could die from a bacterial diseases.

To give you an idea there is a general guide of one inch of fish per 1gall. If you have any thing in the tank like gravel, driftwood, and decorations, etc, this greatly reduces the number of gall in a tank.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
