Ok so it has been a really bad week for the tank. And fish. So in hopes of finding what in the world is causing all this chaos I will make this post as detailed as humanly possible.

Problem 4 days ago I moved my panda fry, a larger panda, and a false trilli into the hospital for treatment for what looked like a bacterial infection. After 4 days of treating the panda fry has begun to look alot better while the larger ones a little better, but better none- the- less. 2 days ago I got a trio of ottos, a small ludwiga and 2 large moneyworts. I put them in the tnak with no issues. A a day later I find a dead otto that has some red on it. I figure it died just from not settling into the new tank properly. Today I wake up to another dead otto and my other fish gasping at the surface. I tested my water and params came out fine they were:
pH- 7.2
Ammonia- 0ppm
Nitrite- .5ppm
Nitrate- 10ppm

So I performed a small 15% WC and the tank settled back down a little. A while later I check back up on the fish and there are rams laying on the bottom gasping, and pandas with a film on there faces. Along with other fish gasping. Another syptom I noticed is redness on fins, barbles, a cloudiness in the eyes.
So I looked online and talked in the chatroom and someone mentioned Chilodonella to me. I started to look into it and found this: http://www.fishdoc.co.uk/disease/chilodonella.htm

My fish have all these syptoms. Including the bouncing off of objects.

My tank has been setup for 5 months. It has a Rena XP2 cannister filter. A heater. 2.4 wpg of ligting. Eco- Complete substrate.

I am thinking that the ottos or plants may have brought in whatever is attacking my fish.

I am planning on dosing the whole tank with Malachite green. I know it will kill most good bacteria but it am hoping it will kill off the parasites. I also have Fromalin.

Please help I am very desperate

I went ahead and treated the tank as things were getting pretty bad. I dont think I will loose any fish. Some are worse that others but none are really really bad.

I am not so sure it was the new fish that bought in the problems you are experiencing. Your nitrite is at .5 when it should be 0 in an established tank.
If it had been my tank I would of worked on the water quality before treating the tank with a med. From memory malachite green can be pretty harsh to cories and ottos. Half doses is the recommended.

Good luck
