My male krib has been acting strange for the past few days. It had been hiding and not coming out to eat as it usually would. Today i forged it out of its hiding place to discover thats its body has a slightly budge to it. It still refuses to eat however. My water parameters are fine with ammonia not showing up and nitrite at the lowers part my scale shows. Some people in the chat mentioned that it may be constipation (thanks for the help by the way) and it looks like it might be. I looked up the causes and not enough variety in the diet seems to be the issue so from now on i will try to correct that but what I am wondering is how i can help this fish right now. If there is anything I can do to help cure the constipation of if it may be something different.

Here are some pictures.

First step try a little epsom salts in the water, that might get things moving, then if the fish starts to eat, hit it with a dose of jungle labs antiparasite formula. Not only does it kill many of the diseases and parasites that start such things off, but the dewormers in it are probably some of the most forceful purgatives you can get for a fish.

The only food that I know that actually works and often mentioned is cooked green peas. I often give mine peas any way. I just cook them for our meal take a few out squash them and just drop them into the tank.

To prevent constipation and have a healthy tank is a good and varied diet.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
