If it isn't poop, it could be a worm. Can you describe what it looks like, what (if anything) you see it do, and how long it's been since you noticed it? Can you get a picture up?

Do you think the swollen belly is from heavy eating? If a fish is able to gorge, it will definitely look full.

You will have to keep a good eye on the Ram and see exactly what it is. In the mean time I suggest you give a feed of cooked squashed pea this could/will help to remove what it is.
Also can you get frozen blood worms feeding this twice a week will also help if the food your are giving is too dry?
What are you feeding how much and how often?
Are any other fish in the tank looking the same swollen bellies?

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

I have 4 rams in this tank my other golden ram died yesterday.the one with the swollen belly has gone down now and seems fine but the male blue has a white lump on its dorsal fin(its not white spot)with many small dots in a concentric pattern radiating out like baby lumps.probably some other type of parisite.have allready tried malichite green and formaldehyde and rasied the temp to 30C but to no avale. I have noticed this now on other fish in the tank.I feed them blood worm every other day and very their flakes and pellets all the time.Ph is 6.8, ammonia 0, nitrIte 0, and nitrAte less than 5ppm.water changes 25% every week.HELP!
