I just bought some silver dollars from my LFS and noticed that a couple of them have one or two very small raised bumps on their sides. They are all eating fine, and don't scrape up onto any of the decorations etc. I did some research but couldnt find anything that looked remotely like what they have. It has no discoloration, mucus, or visible parasites at all, you probably wouldnt even notice unless you took a close look. Anyone seen anything like that before?

It would be very difficult to give advice without possible photos but as the small raised bumps would be very difficult to photgraph I strongly suggest you take all the newly purchased SDs to the LFS where you bought them for a good look at them. Also take a good water sample with you just in case you could have a water problem.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Would they happen to be black? I just read yesterday in my Baensch Aquarium atlas that it is normal for silver dollars to have these black bumps and is not harmful. You said there is no discoloration so i guess not.
