My Betta, Elvis, seems to be shrinking. HE does eat perfectly fine, i feed him Hikari Pellets mostly. I could also describe him as "emo" because he doesnt look to happy :[ is there anything i could use 2 entertain him? He's in a 3 gallon tank, no filter, no lights, with a bit of moss and 2 plastic turtles.... Im Going to try....

-Mirror for 10 mins a day
-change his diet a bit, add frozen brineshrimp to it
-Buy him a natural white rock thing with a hole, if i can find one that small
-Maybe driftwood
-And the frozen pea trick.

He's not loosing fins, swimmign wierd, or anything.

Thanks in advance.

Is he clamping his fins? Also, do you have any water chemistry parameters (especially ammonia)?

How about more about your tank and feeding program. Water peramiters will certainly help. How old or how long have you had him?

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

is his gut sunken? does he look a bit like his is wasting away?

Have you considered worming him?

What is the water temperature? Any chance that it dropped due to air condition without a heater?

Worms are really common. So many of the fish we keep are bred outdoors in the tropics, and they have all sorts of things getting into the water. Most fish have parasites to some degree, but a lot are strong enough not to be obviously affected.

A few more things to check
does he do stringy white poos?
does his poo stay attached to him for a while rather than falling off?

Either way, unless he is incredibly sick and weak, worming shouldn't hurt him. There are quite a few fish wormer products on the market, and something like Jungle Parasite Clear should do the job.
Make sure you gravel vac thoroughly the day after you dose him to clean up any eggs or remains that he has dropped.

I would put a small filter as higher priority than new toys for him. He will probably enjoy playing in a gentle current Maybe look at sponge filters.

None of the poo stuff relates to him, ive never seen him make a white poo, and no poo gets stuck butt when he swims. If it is worms will it be really bad for him? How do you get them at first?
