Thin clown loaches | |
ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | I have 3 clown loaches in my tank and I currently am treating for ich. When I got them one was always bigger than the other 2. Now the two smaller ones are on the thin side. The other one is really fat. Are they not eating because of the med? Water parameters are all at 0 since I am doing daily water changes. pH is at 7.6 and temp is at 26C. I have tried feeding some tubifex worms, bloodworms and lettuce as an alternative. They prefer to munch on the plants. I think its because of the medication. Any ideas? |

Signs of ich are gone but the med says to continue treatment 3 days after signs are visible. It is only the 2 small clowns that look thin. Should I reduce the strength of the Rid Ich +? |

By continuing the meds, you are certain to catch all of the protozoa during the vulnerable period of their life cycle. __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |

Do a big water change, put in carbon over night then treat with either Coppersafe or Kick-Ick.Ick in Clown Loaches is very hard. Try giving them some snails to eat. Just gather a couple for each loach and the`ll get em out of the shell. A good treat for sick loachies. Last edited by MaryPa at 31-Aug-2005 19:13 |
