There's really nothing you can do except perhaps to treat with a weak antiseptic to prevent an infection. Melafix should do the job just fine.

A fish with one eye will be able to find food well enough, and won't really be disadvantaged much. However, you should consider seperating the fish from your turtle. Turtles eat and poop a lot, so it isn't very easy to keep their water super clean. They are more tolerant of poor water quality than fish are, even goldfish. Plus, removing the goldfish from the turtle means that it will be exposed to far fewer pollutants and can grow faster and be healthier. Healthy goldfish grow pretty large, but keeping yours with a turtle could be stunting its growth.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

The Goldfish will survive with the correct medications and lead a normal life providing it is never put back with the turtle. If you can not provide a seperate tank for the gold fish you will have to make the choice fish or turtle.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
