Water changes while medicating | |

Posts: 103 Kudos: 53 Votes: 16 Registered: 08-Dec-2007 | Hi all, I am wondering if I should be doing my water change tommorrow seeing as I am medicating with cupramine right now? It is almost at the time indicated on the bottle to do so, should I wait an extra day, or just go ahead and do the WC? Thanks and Merry Christmas!!! 55G -5x Bosemani, 3x Emerald Cory,3x Red Rainbow, 3x Turquoise Rainbow. 20G-Empty. 10G -4x Danio 3x Cory Fry 1 Gold Mystery Snail. 10G- 1x CAE, 2x Tetra 1x ADF |

I don't think it will matter too much if you delay your regular water change by a day or so until the course of medication is complete. I've not used that particular med, but most will say to dose for a certain period, then do a large water change and add carbon when the course is complete. G_T Never be afraid to try something new. When finished then carry out the regular maintenance on the tank. Carbon is certainly recommended after using meds BUT remember to take the carbon out at the following water change. Is it dye-ba Most of the Waterlife products deactivate well before the instructions suggest a water change, and if you are required to redose afterwards you should be pretty well OK. If you are on your last dose, it is up to you. If the tank *needs* a change, then do it. If it is due but can be pushed a bit longer (most tanks can, but medication can reduce the maximum time between WCs rather dramatically) then you could consider doing that and just delaying this WC for a day or two. |
