My 75g had a stubborn case of ick that I treated with Quick Cure and raised temps. Today I started the process of lowering the water temp.

There are two fish in my 29g that I want to move to the 75g. I don't want to take a chance on these fish getting ick as well, so how long should I wait before I can safely move them?

Thanks.

You have been around Aquariums long enough to fully realize you now have to play a patient game. I would keep treating for at least two more weeks to make 101% sure it has all gone. Then do several water changes wait a bit longer. I would wait a min of 3-4 weeks but time never worries me.

I don't know about the Quick Cure med. But with the Formaldihyte II I added fish within a week after the treatment. The reason you raised the temp was for the life cycle of the ick parasite to spead up. And you should have treated the tank for at least a week during this process. If really concerned, I would wait like keith said, several weeks. But remember, that still does not guarantee it is not still in there. I have seen ick pop up in tanks that had not had any fish or plants or anything added to the tank for well over a year or more. As long as the fish's immune system is healthy, they can carry the ick for a long time. It is when they become stressed that it gets out of control.
