Just put NERDS in your filter, it should absorb any cloudiness after the illness has been cured.

Just so as not to steal this thread and such, As well as I think it deserves its own thread, I have started "The GaryRoland Collection" thread, for all those paint drying and what ever else pics, anyone wants to add;

http://www.fishprofiles.com/interactive/forums/private.asp?id=52494

I placed it in the Premies only land. As I feel this will surely become a much want to be viewed subject. So, like any other "collection", it is limited to Premium Members only. lol

For live foods babel, I would suggest feeding gummy worms 2 times a day.

Indeed Rob they are the same thing.

Although the "real" Swedish ones are much better in my opinion. Of course they do not call them that over there, they are in Sweden.

I think you need to add some Rice Bubbles, and maybe a light chocolate bar at the top, so you can see them better

all great replies and most of them i agree with. i think the one thing the tank is missing is decor. i would add something dark in the middle of the bowl to really bring out their colors and maybe a light bulb to bring out the yellows and oranges. this depends on what other kinds you might add later. the ranchy kind might do better against a blue colored decor.

also be carefull about stocking both the "cheese" and "ranch" in the same bowl. they are technically the same species so may interbreed and form "pizza". this hybrid is perfectly healthy but the colors arnt so good and may have shorter life span in the bowl.

Actually sin, I believe it's the parmesean and the cheese that interbreed to form the pizza variety maybe someone can confirm this.

I had been thinking of adding some of the pretzle but someone told me they don't mix with the more comon varieties as well....

the "pretzles" require more of a salty envirment almost brackish. the others may not adapt wel to it but you could try it. if it doesnt work out you could just get another bowl for them and make it species tank for pretzels.

And to think Gary, I thought it was 542 candles you blew out!!!

Now Babel, we need to have some substrate don't we?

For substrate I suggest an unsalted version of peanut scientifically called: (nesoleyney arazhys)

As for feeding you should provide a variety of Mini Teddy Grahams scientifically called: (meenee-teddee grahams; shokoladneyae, koreechneyae, cheep shokolada)

Yep, there you go...now as for other stocking advise? Always add more of the same....

Heidi

Phooey the actual written translation only came up as code!!! oh well, the sounding came out well I guess...

I got one for Christmas. I took about a dozen pics, hooked it up to my computer, looked at them and put it in a drawer. Haven't touched it since.

Nah, go with something besides gummy worms. If some of the worms escape uneaten, they will set up colonies in the substrate. Once this happens, the tank will get cloudy and dirty. I recommend chiclets. They aren't very good at surviving, and are full of nutritional value.

Yes, and Chiclets come in amazing flavors so the Goldies don't get bored with one flavor......But for protein a little beef jerky would do them some good, and they will finish it before it goes bad... Heidi

You thought babel was going to be the one with dried paint? Well it just so happens I have some to share with you all. I know you are all interested to see it. I painted it yesterday. It seems to be drying nicely.

Somebody should look into this, Mike...

For pete sake they're taking pics of glass bowls with cookie fish in them.

Not only that but the Rainman is promoting pics of paint drying. This has gotten out of hand and I'm requesting that all digital cameras be recalled.
