I be male, 23 and living the good life up in Townsville, North queensland. I got most of my fish from Rossvale Pets and & aquariums (he only deals with fish tho) And the lad that got me into fish, he is a member here, he sold me a Cobalt and gave me a Jewel. I will let him introduce himself.

HAD Zebra plecs, they came thru by accident, and while i was in the store, a guy came in and bought all 6. I dread to know how much he paid!

their discus are incredible tho!

All fish get on well except the Krib, who is at present is in a another tank which we call a "sin bin" tank. He is playing up again. Kriby," but, but mum I just don't like them mollys. They eat all the food."
And the Synodontis Catfish ate 14 little male mollys that I put in that tank. They where mutants and wouldn't grow. But still I loved them. Catfish: "but mum I'm a growing boy and I got hungry". (so be aware when putting Synodontis
Eupterus in with fish that can fit into their mouths).

I get fish from all over the place - cichlids mostly from local breeders and auctions, but my favourite LFS's are: Stafford Aquarium (great for bettas), Clayfield Aquarium, Annerley Aquarium, and Aquarium Warehouse. I get a lot of my big stuff - filters etc. online.

hey, aussie member here too. 25/m

melbournes west. heres my info:

ve only had the tank about 2 months, it's 18" long one that holds about 17-20 litres of water.

i've always liked aquariums, my dad used to keep a 4 foot tank of
tropicals when i was a kid. it had clown, angel fish it had snails.. we went on a 6 week holiday one year and left the feeding of them to a friend. we came back. they were all dead!

so i wanted to start small, on freshwater fish. as they seem easier to keep then tropicals..

eventually i'd like to upgrade to a tropical tank. but for now. a small freshwater set up will do me.

i have one med shumbunkin (sp?) one small black moore. one large Comet (about 4inches long) one "paradise" fish, one little pink guy.. and a flat black and white triangle shaped one.. as you see i'm not up on the names!

i used to have a little zebra fish, and a goldern moore, but the moore past away. and the little rainbow just disapeared, i think the comet might of eaten him, or her jumped.

thats my 2 cents.

I have purchased all of my fish and hardware from the everso friendly guys at Clayfield Aquariums - they made my custom tank and have been absolute legends when it comes to kitting out - helps that my budget has included all plants, CO2 and extra lighting of course
