Unless they were caught before or during their first molt...

Still, if they're caught that young, chances are they're at least a little used to people. I had a bird that was aviary-raised once and near impossible to train (only had him a couple months before I had to move and give him up, but the progress I made with him in that time was nil). But that was a golden-mantelled rosella and they are known for being unfriendly... you may have more luck with the ringnecks.

Adam, have you ever been to [link=Mighty Mutations]http:// www.mightymutations.com.au/[/link] owned by Alan and Thea Lynch?
They have some bloody nice birds there.
I'm thinking about getting a pair of plumheads from them next year sometime.

I love Macaws! The only down side to them is how big they are. Big bird = Big cage, big mess, and BIG POO on your shoulder.

Beautiful birds there Adam, are they yours?

Yep, but they're not a "pair"

The yellow bird is a full grown ringneck (molting at this time).

The green bird is a juvenile alexandrine parrot.

I have an Indian myself. I can tell you this, they should be noisy as it is in their nature. Yours might still be a lil stressed.

Indian Ringnecks are not known for being lovy dovy birds. Mine was hand fed as a fledgling, and even now he barley lets me pet him. It took allot of work for him to allow me to stroke his head and even more work for him to trust me enough to pet his back.

As you didn't hand raise them you have your work cut out for you. It isn't impossible but will take allot of commitment and time. If you get them hand tame, do not be suprised if the bird never loves on you like other bird will.

They are great talkers. Be careful what is said around them unless you want to here a lil kid ask "mommy did he just say a bad word?"

As for diet. Do not feed them seed all the time. It is like you eating fast food 24 7. Not the the healthiest of diets. They need fresh veggies fruit and beans ect ect. They can pretty much eat everything you eat even meat. Mine loves chicken. Protein rich foods should only be a treat tho. You can PM my mate for a recipe she has for a home made food dish for them. Her FP addy is Pone'sMate.

Good Luck!

If he knows their age, I doubt they're wild caught.

I agree with Dave, it's very hard, to train a bird to do alot of things once they've reached a certain age and even harder if it's a pair but it depends on what you mean by tame? Sitting on your hand and talking? or just not fluttering about when you put your hand in the cage and maybe hand feeding them? That you can do if you plenty of time with them gaining their trust. I was able to do that with a full grown King Parrot that ended up flying up to me waiting to be hand fed in a large aviary we had.
Time and patience and don't be too forceful and you may be able to get them to do some things for you, good luck

Beautiful birds there Adam, are they yours?

I prefer Alexandrine Parrots, less noisy.

Ringnecks can be tamed easily and can speak. I see you're from Pakistan, so yours may be wild caught, in which case, there may be a chance it can't be tamed.

Most people will tell you that it's impossible, but it can be done.
You have to gain their trust first..sit with them for hours, speak quietly to them, don't make fast movements around them etc..
Whatever you do, don't grab the birds unless it's absolutely necessary, let them come to you. It'll most likely take you months, even years to get them tame.
Also, having a pair will make it even more difficult.

All birds are different though, you might have it easy or it might not even happen.

Were they hand raised?
I wouldn't even attempt to tame them if they weren't raised by a human (unless they just fledged recently).
