well, a really easy one that wouldn't cause any property damage or be considered harassment or fraud... have a few friends come in the store (one right after the other, not together, so it won't be obvious) and ask for assistance of all other employees, including you... then have another friend come in and find this guy and start asking him questions about hamster care and then want to hold a hamster... this guy will look around for another employee to get the hamster and have no choice... either handle the hamster or look like an idiot in front of this customer. It would be really wonderful if this happened to be timed when the store manager was watching. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

If he's a guy and he's single, you could say that one of the customers is asking for his phone number, and if you can get a female friend to do it, she could give him the phone number of somewhere obviously stupid like McDonald's...

If he has his own phone at his desk take the receiver and put a small piece of scotch tape over the earpiece.....it makes it so he can just barely hear someone. Works great to make them look like idiots when they have to ask the other person to constantly repeat themselves.

Veteric... nice small ones... May be just the ticket...

EDIT: Oh yes, he crossed the line by messing up my facing, general non-leader-related annoyingness (no, I'm not going to elaborate on that), and calling when he left for 10 minutes and asking if there was a manager on duty (he was supposed to be there) and making me freak out... So yeah, just enough for some mild pranks...

Maybe one day during closing I will take the deads/store use clipboard and make sure everything is on it but hide it... or maybe leave the bag of dead fish on the desk instead of on the freezer (where they're supposed to go when the manager sees them)... hmmmm...

keep the ideas rolling... and no, I don't know where he lives, but it's not that close.

Take an ink pad (you know the ones you put like a stamp into) Put the phone earpeice into the pad....then tell your buddy he has a phone call.... walk away and keep from laughing.... you can have one of your friends call and ask a bunch of questions.

hmm you could detail the "idiot" with gasoline burns. Another neat little trick if you know where he lives, and he has a basement, is to buy about 1000 crickets and throw them in there while the weather is still warm, the chirping will drive him insane for weeks after. If you can't get salmon or fish gutts, but want something worse than tuna, go buy yourself 10 lbs of suet, make sure to jam a good blob of it in the muffler. Now outside of the big things, there are small constant methods of driving someone insane. If other employees don't like this guy, start a group conspiracy and do a few set things to drive him nuts. For instance, if he sets anything down and isn't looking at it, move it somewhere else. If he's looking for someone or something he can't find, miss-direct him. If he makes any request for any kind of order, get it plausibly wrong and have anyone around him verify thats what they heard him ask for too.

Get some liquid fertiliser, write the word "idiot" on the lawn, such that the grass will grow beautifully into the word "idiot", and last for months.

If he works at a desk, sneak under his desk and tie his laces to the chair. :%)

If he doesn't live too far away from you, and you have access to dog poo, especially a very large dog, get the dog to poo on his lawn every morning when you take it for a walk. Works especially well if you dog has diarrhoea!

Have a friend call up and request 3 6-foot tanks with cabinets, hoods, filters, etc. etc. Then get them to ask "Does (your team leader's name) still work there?" When they say "yes", get your friend to say "Sorry to have bothered you, I can't do business there". Then hang up. (Works better if he doesn't answer the phone, and let the gossip run wild!)

BTW, what did he do to cross the line????

Are you good friends with an employee who could get lots of friends? You could use his friends.

I think the best fish to use for a prank like that would be jack hallibut... the smelliest fish you can get around here and not so pricey as salmon (found this out when we lost a cat and tried to trap him back - one of those live traps that the rescue organizations use to catch their kitties)... but then again who said I could get something inside his car? Yeah right... Maybe the office or something though...

Get a cheap can of tuna, open the top and try to place it INSIDE the car out of sight. (under the seat ?)

Wow, some of these responses are pretty good... Oh, another thing he has allergies to something that's in the N. California air right now...

I might end up being happy with just thinking about these pranks... well, we'll see. One thing: it would be difficult to get a lot of friends to come in because I don't have a lot of friends here... they're mostly at school in Indiana (if I were there, I'd have tons of people who could come in but they're not going to come that 2000+ miles...)

I really really want to pull a prank right now... here's what I have for you to go on:

I work in a pet store and there is this team leader (like a manager but for dealing with customers more than employees... wears employee uniform and everything) who has crossed the line and I want to do a harmless but funny (like the kind that make a person jump and scream without causing any damage - if I caused any damage I could get in trouble) prank to get even. (muahahaha) I do know he's scared of hampsters, but that's about all. Doesn't have to have anything to do with the hampster.

Does anyone have any good ideas?

Hmm ok, no damage, but a good prank... Does he answer the phones much? if you have a PDA you could easily plug it into one of the phone lines in the building and program it to sit there calling the main line at random times. Try getting a few friends to come in through the day and ask exedingly stupid questions, haggle for prices, etc. make sure you get a good 3 or 4 in there to keep him busy running back and forth, then sit there and chat with any other customers as long as possible.

While painting some random guys car may be illegal, or scratching it for that matter, i don't think you'de get in much trouble jamming a couple salmon in the wheel wells. If you realy want to go for an all out gutsy prank, schedule (from a pay phone) a pile of interviews and apointments for whatever you can at his place, make sure they're all set to arive about 20 minutes before he has to go to work.

Continuing on this string of cruel pranks, try throwing one of those pacu's that look like piranah's in a tank full of mid sized but generaly peacefull fish, then throw a few beat up looking feeders in the tank with him. From there get one of your friends visiting to ask if piranahs keep well with what ever fish you happen to throw the pacu in with.

Finaly, try mailing him a fake letter from the head office if its a chain store, giving his two week notice etc. and then wait for the manager to call whe he doesn't show up for work as scheduled. This one is cruel, but you can't get caught very easily.

Put a hamster in his lunch.

Get someone to come into the store and ask him for help and advice for what fish to buy, when they buy the fish they take them to your house and you look after them for the rest of there life, the next day get the person to come back and complain to him that he gave crap advice and completley embarrase him infront of everyone.

Has he got any pets? If he has pinch one of his favourites for a couple of days then put it back once he gets really annoyed.

Does he like gardening and stuff? If he does get some cement, unplant all his plants and cement them all into the ground and cement all of those weird gnomes and stuff into the ground (no offense to gnome keepers).

Does he have a nice car and really loves it? If he does get some paint and tip it on it at night or scrath it or do something to it.

Get all the staff to ignore him and stuff.

Hide his stuff when he puts it down at work such as his keys so when he wants to go home he cant in his car and cant get in.

Get some itching powder from a joke shop and put it on his clothes for work.


One last word of advice, dont admit to it after a while as he will get you back then somehow and have fun and enjoy watching his reaction.

put a stuffed hamster in his lunch bag.
