Viruses and trojans, or windows update not one of these. 1. Improper handshaking between printer and pc. Unplug printer from hydro. Shut off pc. Unplug pc power cable. Then, re-install both ends of printer cable. Plug pc back in, plug in and turn printer on, then pc. 2. Improper handshaking between printer driver and printer. or Corrupt or outdated printer driver. Unhook printer from pc, then un-install the driver, then re-install printer and reload the driver. Did this help ? Despite what the people say, Windows Me is a very good operating system, plus it has Windows Restore. My main pc has it although I also have XP on disk. You could have also restored it to an earlier checkpoint to solve the issue. The Amazon Nut... |

It could just be a printer memory overload. Can you contact the printer company as it might not be installed correctly to XP now. You might have to install the correct drivers for it. Windows Update is notorius for weird glitches that cause weird things to happen. My brother had a problem on one of his computers that started right after he had downloaded Windows Updates and rebooted. Wait until the next Windows Update comes out (I think it's on Tuesdays) and see if it has the fix for it...it will probably cause more problems than it fixes tho... It could also be a virus or spyware. I googled "exploi.exe" and found nothing to show that it is really spyware or a virus. Usually you can google virus filenames and find a lot of info (it usually includes links to http://www.mircosoft.com)... but I couldn't find anything with this one. HTH a bit ![]() |
