	FP - itty bitty virus alert.
Callatya Moderator The girl's got crabs! Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001	Hey all, just me. Over the past 2 days i have recieved 2 emails with names i recognised from FP. They werent anything horrible, but since i had all my virus blockers up, i cant really tell. Just a general warning that if you dont have your virus doobies up to date, now would be a great time What is it they say? be alert not alarmed? Anyway, just thought you should know in case its not just me. See what a virus does is crawl your address book and gather names to send the virus to/from... So theoretically... If say pancake got a virus, and had me in his address book along with a long list of FP members... the virus would send it's self to all the people on the list and would make it look as if it came from me. Email is not a hard thing to "spoof".

It turned out to be a virus, his anti virus system picked it up. He checked with me via phone to check my computer just to make sure it was clean. It just pays to have all your systems up dated every time you turn your computer on. Yes it takes a minute or so but better than a big fix up.
