Foods from left to right in first picture: TetraMenu flakes Select-a-Meal, Tetramin tropical flakes, Earthworm flakes, HBH Betta Bites, Omega One freshwater flakes, Tetra freeze-dried bloodworms, Wardley shrimp pellets, Hikari micro pellets, Hikari Betta BioGold (in film canister). I used this particular recipe (ratio depended on my mood ) for guppy fry. Figured variety was the spice of very young lives. ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |

They sometimes get well mixed/blended: brine mysis clam mussel prawn fish nori flake plankton phytoplankton formula 1 formula 2 squid baby brine shrimp cyclops zoe(nutritional supplement) I think there's some other stuff in there but I forget. A lot of the stuff is bought fresh from the grocery so there's some variablity to the selection. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

I make some semi-algae wafers for my BN's sometimes: Zuccini; carrot; algae scraped from tank; spinach; corn-meal; some ground-up Hikari algae wafers; and some ground white fish - usually flake (shark fillets). Boil it all up, mix/mash/smash it together, then lay out very thinly (1 mm at most) on some grease-proof paper, and pop into the oven until it has dried out, making sure you don't burn it. |
