well let me first start off by saying hi, its been awhile.

anyway last week i went down to miami and the everglades for 16 hours of fishing. The first day i went to miami to do alittle peacock bass fishing. While i was down there wasnt having much luck with catching them. (its funny because i really wanted to catch some peacock bass, i ended up catching every other species there) so we went to a rural place, sort of like a freshwater canal with peoples house on either side. I ended up catching about 15 peacock bass there, but i caught a few other fishes that were surprising. I caught a 12 inch oscar, 11 inch jagur cichlid, and saw a 4 inch festivum. I knew that these fishes were released into the wild, but to my amazment they were doing well in miami water.
So at the end of day 1, i ended up catching,
16 peacock bass, 1 oscar, 1 jagur, 1 largemouth bass, 1 searobbin.

The next day in fort laudurdale, we went to the everglades for large mouth basses. I didnt end up catching many large mouths this day, but it was still worth wild anyway. i saw alot of stuff i never saw before. like florida gars and bowfins jumping out of the water catching food. We also saw some nice sized american allogartors on the banks. I ended up catching, about 10 large mouths(one was over 8 lbs), 1 florida gar, 1 bowfin, and saw some sunfish of some kind.

it then occured to me that i had a great time, but also caught and saw many fishes that i already have at home.
Anyway it was a great time, and if you like fishing, try going to miami and the everglades to do some fishing, you will see alot of cool stuff, and see fishes that often seen at LFS in the wild.

Strange! You go fishing to get away from your aquarium fish & you end up catching your aquarium fish!
