All I can say is ,
people on this website in general seem to be incredibly well off.

Im not well off....Just work hard, and happen to be in a good industry with potential to make a killing (Autobody and PDR/paintless dent repair)

I honestly don't know how much was spent, but probably under $100. The wish list wasn't large...Books, books, books...yep that's about it...Thanks Leslie!...When I lived at home it was usually one "nice" gift and several small ones...now as an adult...well...Also got many nice gifts from my students...a cute necklace with a bell on it...and various other stuffs...chocolate, coffee mug, perfume spray...all of it is very special to me.

As Pugperson said Little Bit made off like a bandit, and seems quite pleased...of course the light up tennis shoes seem to be a favorite...all we heard yesterday was, "Look! My shoes light up!" and other versions.

All in all it was a wonderful Christmas, and Tim we love you, you know that...Now would someone like to go and do a blood draw for me tomorrow? I really don't feel like being a vampire victim...Heidi

Over $1000, mixed with small and larger gifts. Not that much considering I spent $1000 just on my brother alone....and that was all on a die cast car!

Voted for: $500 to $1000, but much closer to the $500 - $750 range.

You have to remember that that amount was spilt between Jorge, his parents, his grandma, his 2 brothers and their wives, my parents, and my grandma. And everything I got was found at a discount...

5g minibow and CO2 diffuser - Jorge's discount at work
suede coat, diamond stud earrings, silver heart earrings, socks, purse, scarf - very cheap from Kohl's since my mom works there (coat was $160 but she only paid $50 for it)
Willow Tree figure - Jorge talked my manager into giving him my discount
fleece penguin pj pants - on sale at Aeropostale
jewelery box - I'm sure it came from Value City, but it's so pretty
other pjs - Steve and Barry's
sweater - TJ Maxx
glass candle bowl - I picked it out at a candle outlet... I believe it was $5
I got some other things, but you get the idea. Considering how much I got, not all that much was spent. You just have to know how to find the sales and discounts

This is one of those times I'm glad the vote doesn't show anymore ...

I got an extremely nice digital camera, some books, and some assorted little things. Basically it was a one-big-gift year.

Adrian and I didnt buy presents for each other this year. What money we had spare we spent on Ryan.
We did get some nice gifts from the family, and gave close friends and family gifts too.

Hmmm not sure about the total, but I didn't get much besides stuff that I actually need for school/summer practicum. My parents outfitted me (waders, rain suit, compass, etc).

Or the people that aren't well off aren't posting to advertise that.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,

Voted for too darn much!!

Hubby got me a diamond tennis bracelet-it's beautiful. As for everyone else, we have a large extended family that gets together for Christmas. So, even though I keep requesting that parents and grandparents get us gift cards for movies, restaurants, etc. we end up with way too much stuff that we just don't need. My mom did listen to one thing on my wish list and got me a crock pot, which I used yesterday to make a yummy pot roast and will use this weekend for chili. Of course, with a 2 year old who was the only grandchild on my side of the family 'til 3 wks ago, our house looks like a toy store threw up in it. I have toys everywhere and piles of new clothes to wash. Oh, and her birthday was Dec. 4 so we've still got all those new things everywhere, too. (I've got to make a trip to Goodwill next week!)

i think that you will find that a lot of people on here don't do much other than fish and home life.

A lot of my friends would easily blow $200 in a weekend on drinks and food, whereas i wouldn't dream of it.

And er, i think the FRIENDS and FAMILY might be the ones to blame
