Cute cats all

You sound like one of my best friends Babel; she was "adopted" by a couple of strays last year who increasingly started spending time round her place.

Long story short, the gal one had 5 kittens about a week ago lol (My friend is sure the stray male is the daddy, as the new arrivals look too much like him for him not to be).

For your collective viewing pleasure, here's some pics (first three images from first day, 4th from yesterday when they started opening their eyes):

She's gonna try and get both the proud parents off to the vet after this to have them de-sexed She too is having vision of ending up as an old lady with a gazillion cats

Babelfish:

It was brought to my attention that I was 100% wrong about cats, dander, and allergies. But, what do I know? I'm a male!

As it is reported, allergies actually derive from the dried saliva of cats, so one can be just as allergic to a hairless cat as to a furry cat.

Here is an online article which explains it.

[link=http:// www.allergybegone.com/aboutpetdander.html]http:// www.allergybegone.com/aboutpetdander.html[/link]

Sorry for the initial misinformation.

I was the one who started the similar thread about a cat that I found. I still have mine and if anyone is living in the Maryland area and would like an adorable baby kitten let me know. I would keep it myself but I am very allergic. I found the kitten in the woods that is part of my property. It was very gaunt but I have been feeding him nonstop. It took me a good 2 weeks before he allowed me to make contact with him, he is now very well mannered he wants to come inside but you can tell he still enjoys the outdoors. He is all black and VERY furry - he looks interesting, which makes me think that he did not come from a parenthood of alley cats. Sorry to change the topic but I am just trying to find a home for this little guy.

has anyone ever watched that English TV show "Animal Rescue" with Rolph Harris?

Every episode they are pulling cats out of new places. Last time I saw it a cat was in an abandoned church stuck in a bell tower that looked extreemely shaky.

I disagree, I got adopted by a feral cat, he was actually someones pet, but they went away, left him with friends, and he got out as a small kitten, he adopted us after a year of being a stray. He is still shy, but loves us a lot, he even kisses me and wraps his little orange paws around my neck for a hug!
Tell you sister to take allergy pills!
Also, once you get used to a cats dander (sometimes can take up to a year) the allergies get much less.
Both I and my BF have bad allergies to all animals. But we could never part with our kitties! Despite the fact that we see mini mewballs rolling all over the house!

Babel, is the kitty a true stray, or did it just wander off from someone else's home? It may be a good thing that you haven't seen it for a while. Maybe it found it's way back home to it's 'adopted' family. Just think, some little girl was really missing her kitty.

troy I'd name him Ewok too

nope no kitty .

Yep if there were fish shelters I'd get mine there too....that's how I ended up with a goldfish....three in a tulip planter on your bosses table is no place for goldfish ....

Ptsmart has rescued cats, each and every one of them as cute as can be....and over $100 .....

Once sister moves out you can be sure I'll be taking in strays left and right....I've gotta start working on that "wierd old lady with lots of cats" bit since that's what it looks like I'll end up as .

I'd like to Gomer. It'd be cool to do that.

I'd buy a cat that cant really live in australian conditions, like a himalayan, so if it does escape it will have no chance of living life as a feral (eating our native animals).

no, you should never have to buy pets

I don't see what is bad with buying pets.

Feral cats usually cannot stand much human contact, it is next to impossible to keep them at pets.

Save a life! Go to your local shelter!

Yeah, buying pets hasn't gotten us into anything but trouble... but our cat, Bob, is the sweetest critter - you pick her up and she doesn't struggle or anything - and we got her from a friend whose cat had kittens (later convincing her to have the cat spayed) without paying a penny. A Pic of Bob

If this kitty doesn't stay around, perhaps you should look into the shelters in your area. If you go in the sprind you could even adopt a kitten who isn't yet anti-human and you can socialise well.

This cat you want to adopt you looks just like the tomcat that our former youth pastor took care of that always hung around my church. Unfortunately that cat died of stomach cancer He hadn't eaten for a couple weeks so he took him to the vet just in time to find out he was dying and have him put to sleep
