I disagree, I got adopted by a feral cat, he was actually someones pet, but they went away, left him with friends, and he got out as a small kitten, he adopted us after a year of being a stray. He is still shy, but loves us a lot, he even kisses me and wraps his little orange paws around my neck for a hug!
Tell you sister to take allergy pills!
Also, once you get used to a cats dander (sometimes can take up to a year) the allergies get much less.
Both I and my BF have bad allergies to all animals. But we could never part with our kitties! Despite the fact that we see mini mewballs rolling all over the house!

Oh, and I forgot to mention, At the Vet 2 weeks ago Ice was weighed, and weighs in at a healthy happy 31.4 Pounds.

Get a gas mask for your sister and keep the kittie... Just make sure it doesn't have a taste for shishies!!!

that first pic looks more like "get that camera outta my face" to me tell your sister that her allergies will be less if she lives with a cat 24/7, once she gets over the initial shock anyway...

or have her get those allergy shots that make you able to live with fuzzy animals If I had to choose between another kitty and my sister I'm not sure which I'd choose...

You're not going to like my response, but she's still a cat which your sister will be allergic to.
I know the cat's cute and all, but...
Perhaps you and your sister can come to some compromise over the cat.
If not, and you're still really hankering to get a cat, consider one of the hairless varieties. No hair. No allergies. Something to consider.

Some of you know I can't have a cat because my sister who rents from me is alergic...but sunday when I went to put some recycling in the bin I had a visitor that I'm trying to get to adopt me.


Isn't she just the cutest! .

She's very friendly which makes me think she's not your ordinary stray. She made no effort to scratch me and loved all the attention. Other than being nothing more than fur a bit of skin and bones she seems for the most part rather clean...Furs a bit matted but not badly....did I mention she's really sweet? I didnt' have any food in the house so I gave her some water drained from tuna fish which she of course loved, then I tried to get her to eat some cheerios that had been soaked in the water...which she refused...so I ended up going to ptsmrt and getting her some tinned food which she loved...anyway I hope she'll adopt me, or @least come back for a few more meals....she needs it



With the nights getting cooler I hope she'll be okay outside, I know there was another thread that was similar, so it must be that time of year .

She hasn't come back yet Light_Bright the food I left for her was gone but that wasn't the least bit surprising.... I hope she got some of it but I highly doubt it .
Everyone that's posting kitty pics is making me sad .
WayneTA, first off I'd never pay for a cat, second I'm trying to get this one to adopt me because she's a stray and needs a good home (not to mention all the other stuff strays need) third...my sis is likely to be moving out and getting married soon, we both grew up with cats and the cat will likely be a mostly outdoors cat anyway.
