After a very long time away for training, I'm back. Anyone know some good fish stores in the San Diego area, specifically North County?

Hey, welcome back! I remember you from more than a year and a half ago.

Can't help with San Diego, but there's at least one member here from around that area.

Hi Aggie I'm glad you made it back to us in one piece. Are you back for a while?

AGGIE!!!

Joe Potato and I were just talking about you the other day and how we miss you + you're knowledge. Glad to see you're doing well.

Sorry I cant help you with the fish stores. Well, if you come to New York I can.

Drop by the marine forums when you get the chance.

Thanks for the welcome back. I'll be here for a while I think. Just set up a 29 in my office today. It's the first tank I've had in a year!

Glad to hear you'll be staying.

Now comes the question of death...

29...fresh or salty? *crosses fingers*

Freshwater community. I would have liked to have another brackish or marine tank, but because of the nature of my job and the fact that America still has forces Iraq, I need to have something simple enough to care for if my housemates have to take care of it should I be sent to the Sandbox or anywhere else.

Aww man.

I understand though. At least you have a legit reason to be freshie...although, a SW community tank isn't brain surgery to take care of. Still, you are more than welcome to make a guest appearance in the darker forums.../:'

I would have done a community FOWLR with a clown and two or three other small SW fish and some inverts (snails, small crabs, shrimp) and the like, but my housemates are Marines too, and by and large we do have a tendancy to break things and screw up simple tasks that don't involve guns or plastic explosives (in other words, tasks like mixing salt and water from our RO tap for water changes). A FW community tank was really my only choice here. If they can learn how to do this one well, I may get a 55 gal SW setup going in our bar (yes, we put a bar in our house). I will make intermittant appearances in the SW forums to offer my knowledge on muraenids occasionally in the meantime.

Sounds like a plan.

Looking forward to seeing a salty set up!
