Sigh.

I'm surprised it took this long.

I have the same sentiments as that guy who said he was disgusted. Purely disgusted.

Theres just way to many things to list to describe whats wrong with that concept. why not just make a ihouse, and shove a person into a small box.

when will people who think of these things start to think with their minds and not their wallets

Fish tanks are an expensive addiction

the prevailing attitude is and always has been, "it's just a fish"

But the RSPCA has called on the device to be banned because it is too small to provide fish with adequate oxygen supplies and a clean environment.

Wow..... idiots with money

And that's just about stupid xmas shoppers, not even to mention stupid ideas as THAT.

If it'd have been a puppy in a shoebox they'd be labeled terrorists and be next on the invasion list.

But fish aren't cute and cuddly, or dogs, so no one cares about them .

I don't think it's that people don't care about the fish, they just don't know that it's not good for it.

I don't like this item any better than the rest of you though.

I personally would like to lock up the person/people into a 6x3x3ft cubical and leave them there and see what happens.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Ick.

A fishtank as a speaker...

Reckon you could hook an iPod up to a puppy? Surgically implant glass plates under the skin perhaps? Stick it in a small shoebox? Crank up the Led Zeppelin and let that puppy sing. I wonder how many people would be buying those, and how 'cool' that would be. Front page news, I'll bet. If that was a dog in a loud vibrating box, that'd be HUGE news.

A fish is aesthetically pleasing, not an ornament. Even if it could be thought of as a living ornament, it sure as anything is NOT a speaker.

Aquababies were 4" acrylic cubes that came with a live fish (or frog), several varieties such as WCMM, blue gourami, etc.; a bit of plant, some food, gravel and instructions pretty much saying you wouldn't have to clean it, ever.

I actually saw one of these in a store yesterday.

Other than the obvious issues with it being too small to house anything long term, it looks cheap and tacky ... I doubt that it would be long before it started leaking, leaving you without a home for the fish housed within and without a working speaker.

For the asking price I would have expected it to at least look a little less like it came from a $2 store.

Apparently Pets Paradise has removed them from stores.

I saw them. I freaked. In Walmart. Scared the begeeses out of a staff person. Doubt it'll help, but I certainly voiced my... opinion.

I vote! Do you?
