Purely disgusted. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |

If it'd have been a puppy in a shoebox they'd be labeled terrorists and be next on the invasion list. But fish aren't cute and cuddly, or dogs, so no one cares about them . ^_^ |

Callatya Moderator The girl's got crabs! Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001 | Ick. A fishtank as a speaker... Reckon you could hook an iPod up to a puppy? Surgically implant glass plates under the skin perhaps? Stick it in a small shoebox? Crank up the Led Zeppelin and let that puppy sing. I wonder how many people would be buying those, and how 'cool' that would be. Front page news, I'll bet. If that was a dog in a loud vibrating box, that'd be HUGE news. A fish is aesthetically pleasing, not an ornament. Even if it could be thought of as a living ornament, it sure as anything is NOT a speaker. |

superlion Mega Fish Posts: 1246 Kudos: 673 Votes: 339 Registered: 27-Sep-2003 | Aquababies were 4" acrylic cubes that came with a live fish (or frog), several varieties such as WCMM, blue gourami, etc.; a bit of plant, some food, gravel and instructions pretty much saying you wouldn't have to clean it, ever. ><> |

Gone_Troppo Enthusiast Posts: 285 Kudos: 196 Registered: 13-Mar-2007 | I actually saw one of these in a store yesterday. Other than the obvious issues with it being too small to house anything long term, it looks cheap and tacky ... I doubt that it would be long before it started leaking, leaving you without a home for the fish housed within and without a working speaker. For the asking price I would have expected it to at least look a little less like it came from a $2 store. G_T Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark.
